Turner Imaging Systems develops and markets X-ray imaging systems that give the user the ability to acquire X-ray images wherever and whenever they are needed.  Our latest product, the Micro-C-arm, is a fully-functional mini-C-arm system that is battery operated and hand-transportable, improving the way fluoroscopy is performed.  Our products expand the reach of X-ray imaging to the under served and humanitarian efforts around the world.

Tom Youd, MS, MBA

VP of Engineering

  • 18 year experience in design, development, and manufacturing of medical devices.
  • Former Lead System Design Engineer for Surgical Navigation at GE Healthcare.
  • BSD Medical, Tom was Project Manager over the MTX-100 and MTX-180 Microwave Ablation Systems that received 510(k) clearance in 2008 and 2010 respectively.

Carrie T. Taylor, RN, JD

ADVISOR

 

Carrie T. Taylor earned a B.S. in nursing from the University of Utah and a J.D. from Brigham Young University.  For 11 years, she worked as an emergency department registered nurse.  Ms. Taylor also practiced law for more than twenty years as an insurance defense litigator.   She is presently an Of Counsel member of the law firm of Manning Curtis Bradshaw & Bednar.  Ms. Taylor currently serves as an employment consultant for BYU Law School and also accepts independent mediator/arbitrator assignments.  Ms. Taylor has a passion for connecting people with her shared desire to radically improve the delivery and quality of health care. A former shareholder of Aribex Inc., Ms. Taylor now serves on the Board of Directors for Turner Imaging Systems on behalf of minority shareholders.

The Micro C-arm is still under development and does not currently have regulatory clearance anywhere in the world. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not reviewed or approved the Micro C-arm.
